Black Hills National Forest
This park sprawls 1.2 million acres of land. Visitors enjoy beautiful sights including rock formations, canyons, lakes, grassland parks, and diverse wildlife. It’s no surprise that the area attracts millions of visitors every year. The park is home to many different activities, from timber production to mining to ATV riding.
Blacktail Trailhead
Best suited for more advanced riders since the area is home to some of the most difficult trails in the Bearlodge Ranger District
Allows access to miles of OHV trails to the west of Cook Lake
Often used by hunters during the fall
Open to ATVs that are 50-inches wide or less
Ogden Creek Trailhead
Accessible to riders of all experience and skill levels
Allows access to four different trails, which are southeast of Warren Peak

Bighorn National Forest
This park offers the most diverse landscape in Wyoming. Explore sights from alpine meadows to glacially-carved valleys to majestic mountain cliffs. With over 189,000 acres of wilderness and 1,200 miles of trails, there’s plenty of adventures to be had!
Bald Ridge ATV Trail - Buffalo, Wyoming
Best suited for more experienced riders due to the difficulty of the trail
Takes riders along the wilderness boundary and passes through high elevation mountain meadows
Begins at FSR 411 and ends at FST 066
Granite Creek Trail - Greybull, Wyoming
Accessible to riders for all experience and skill levels
A short trail that’s great for those wanting a quick ride
Takes riders on a route that flanks Antelope Butte, giving stunning views of the charming ski hill
Begins at FSR 279 and ends at FSR 244
Bighorn Reservoir Trail - Sheridan, Wyoming
Accessible for all experience and skill levels
Takes riders along the shore of Bighorn Reservoir, which offers striking views of the red sandstone, beautiful waterway vistas, and even wildlife
Begins at FSR 289 near the dam and ends at FSR 289 by the inlet
